Brisbane absolutely blooms every year in Spring and 2022 is no different!

Take a stroll through this glorious city and watch how it comes to life with a sea of purple Jacaranda trees, festivals and markets, sunshine and sunsets. The first month of Spring brings back the iconic annual Brisbane festival and runs nearly all month long. Riverfire kicks off Spring with a BANG on the first Saturday of the season. Spring is full of food, fireworks, music and more as Brisbane puts on a show. Here is a list of some of the many brilliant things Brisbane will have on offer!

Riverfire

Mark your diary for the most spectacular night of the year as Riverfire by Australian Retirement Trust heralds the start of Brisbane Festival on Saturday 3 September. The skies will blast open with excitement and celebration as Foti Fireworks launch their shimmering and electrifying pyrotechnics display from bridges, barges and rooftops across the city.

The City of Sport!

Sport, as always, is a huge part of Brisbane and Spring is no different. This September the Socceroos & Matilda’s return to Suncorp Stadium. It will be the Matildas v Canada and Socceroos v New Zealand.

Do you love music? Brisbane does! The southern hemisphere’s biggest music industry is getting the band back together at Big Sound! Three jam-packed nights of music are in store for you, with over 150 artists showcasing their talent across venues in Fortitude Valley.

Oyster & Seafood Festival

Seafood lovers you shrimp-ly cannot miss this! The Oyster & Seafood Festival is back on the 15th October with an ocean of things to sea and do! The Oyster Festival isn’t just a great day out but celebrates the history of the land in which Sandstone Point Hotel was built on. In 1875, James Clark operated a very successful Oyster Farm out of Pumicestone Passage.
