Brisbane is officially coming alive with Christmas Spirit.
This time of year can stressful with end of year deadlines, entertaining children on holidays and getting gifts sorted.
Here are a few activities sure to please all this festive season:
The Enchanted Garden
Where: Roma Street Parklands
When: November 25 to December 21, 2022.
The family and planet-friendly LED lighting installation guides visitors on a 30 minute self-guided tour through a carefully constructed environmental narrative that centres on celebrating nature, a sense of connection and play, discovery and storytelling.
The event opens at 6:30pm, with the last session at 9pm and bookings are essential. Session times are every 15 minutes with kid’s sessions at 6:30pm, 6:45pm, 7pm, 7:15pm; Standard Sessions 7:30pm, 7:45pm, 8pm, 8:15pm; Up Late Sessions 8:30pm, 8:45pm, 9pm and Low Sensory times varied (see website for details).
Need to know – Based on the popularity of the Enchanted Garden, all visitors must now pre-book tickets, which are $7pp (under 2 years free).
Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols
Where: Riverstage
When: Saturday, December 10, 2022.
Held at the beautiful Riverstage (with gates open from 4 pm), the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols will see a star-studded lineup share Christmas classics and new takes, encouraging everyone to join in.
Need to know – Tickets are $5 and free for those under 18 years of age and can be purchased online.
The Collective Markets- Christmas Edition
Where: Little Stanley Street
When: 17th to 22nd December.
Stock up on stocking stuffers or treat yourself with The Collective Markets at South Bank offering a veritable Santa’s Workshop of gifting delights.
The popular artisan market gets a magical makeover with local stallholders stocking an abundance of Christmas treats and unique gift ideas.
Left your seasonal shopping to the last minute? Stress less with The Collective Markets extending its trading hours from 10am until 9pm.
